What is the
Two-House teaching? What is its purpose? Who are Judah and Ephraim?
These are some questions you
may be asking, considering the proliferation for the
terms "Two-House" or "the Whole House of Israel" in recent days. What does the restoration of all Israel
involve, and what is prophesied to occur?
Modern
Christianity largely teaches that "the Church" is a separate
entity from Israel, and as a result many Christians do not
properly
understand the Tanach or Old Testament. For
this reason, very few claiming Yeshua as their Savior have taken the
initiative to study the origins of our relationship with God beginning with the covenant made by God at Mount Sinai with the
Ancient Israelites.
Ephesians
2:11-12 tells us that the non-Jewish Believer---the former Gentile---who has faith in Yeshua, has been made part of the Commonwealth of
Israel.
Today's Messianic community has the task of restoring
the faith "built upon the foundation of the apostles and
prophets" (Ephesians
2:20),
moving us back to how Yeshua and His early followers lived.
