The
Scriptures record that the Body of Messiah is "built upon the
foundation of the apostles and prophets" (Ephesians 2:20).
Truly, without Israel, there would be no Ten Commandments or
hope of salvation in Yeshua the Messiah. The true Believer in the
Messiah cannot deny the clear Hebraic origins of our faith which
many Christians today have an incredible interest in studying and
examining.
In an effort to become Biblically sound, we must seek
guidance from the Holy One of Israel and what He has laid out from
Genesis-Revelation. We know that He does not change and neither
do His plans for the ages. However, why do some people think that
they can "pick and choose" which Scriptures they obey?
How does today's
Believer relate to Israel? Are
"the Church" and Israel two distinct entities--or are they the same? Is
the instruction given at Mount Sinai still in effect for the
Believer? How do we balance grace and Law when our goal
should be to please our Father in Heaven? What are some of the
challenges that the Messianic movement faces in establishing
credibility for itself, and encouraging positive spiritual change
on the part of all Believers?
